The brothers of Beta Omicron at Youngstown State University reported having an excellent year in terms of helping out in their community. In the Chapter end of the year service report (Form G) to Central Office, Chapter President Leo Daprile noted a good deal of service work done in the past school year. In September 2013, November 2013, and April 2013 the Chapter hosted and ran the American Red Cross Blood Drives. The brothers' jobs were to solcit donors, process and register donors, assist the nurses in set up and tear down, and clean up. In February 2014, Beta Omicron held a bake sale to assist a local cancer relief organization. The name of the group is the Silver Lining Cancer Fund, and they help pay medical bills, supply wigs, and donate medicine, etc. to local Youngstown Cancer patients. The Chapter raised $165 for the group. Then on June 3, 2014, the Chapter capped off its year sending 10 brothers to a local animal shelter to help clean cages, walk dogs, feed cats, etc.
